Emily is a Program Manager at the Aspen Institute’s Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation (PSI). In this role, she provides valuable support to a range of initiatives, including the Aspen Philanthropy Group, the Mid-America Seminar, the Social Purpose Leaders Program, and the Artist-Endowed Foundations Initiative.
Prior to joining the Aspen Institute, Emily worked at the American Association of University Women (AAUW) in the Fellowships and Programs division. There, she managed Empower, a leadership program aimed at closing the gender pay and leadership gaps, and co-developed and implemented program strategies for the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders. Before that, Emily worked at the National Organization for Women (NOW), where she organized NOW’s annual conference and activist events and implemented NOW’s Strategic Action Program.
Emily served on the 2016-17 and 2017-18 Executive Committee of the Women’s Information Network (WIN), a professional, political, and social network for progressive women in Washington D.C. Originally from Ohio, Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Cincinnati. When she’s not busy at work, Emily enjoys reading and cooking, and she’s a devoted dog mom to her rescue beagle.
